COMMISSION

Our secure portal offers you full initial commission and full trail commission on all commission-paying funds. Alternatively, as agreed with your client, you can choose to reinvest part or all of the initial commission to increase benefits for your client. You can make this choice on a fund-by-fund basis, so you might take full commission on one fund, part on a second fund, and reinvest all commission on a third fund. For example:
Assume that a fund is available at creation + 0.5% terms and standard initial commission is 3% (as opposed to its normal 5% initial charge):

  • Adviser gives up 1/3rd of their commission (ie takes 2% and sacrifices 1%)
  • client discount increases from 1.5% to 2.5%
  • client effective charge reduces from 3.5% to 2.5%

How is commission paid?
Cofunds will pay initial commission weekly. Trail commission is accrued daily and paid monthly. In each case, payment is made by BACS to the bank account you nominate when your account is first set up, with a consolidated commission statement sent to you. If you wish to change your bank account details, please tell us and we will advise Cofunds accordingly.

If you already have an agency with Cofunds, you will continue to receive commission under your agency in respect of non-SIPP deals in the usual way, with a second payment and statement for your online SIPP deals and holdings.
