TAKING BENEFITS

Taking benefitsYou'll find here what you need to know and what you need to do in relation to taking benefits (designations).

Designation options
Full designation of the fund, or phased designation (partial or target income).

Partial crystallisation is a one-off designation by selecting a number of units to crystallise, value of fund to crystallise or value of PCLS to be taken (the latter will be rounded up to the nearest number of whole units).

Target income is where a target level of income is required (mixture of PCLS and income). Units are required to be crystallised each year to provide the PCLS amount, a new UI form will need completing before each designation.

With all designations, because whole units have to be designated and all remaining uncrystallised units are of equal value, actual figures may be subject to rounding.
