Corporate and social responsibility

Fundraising and charities

Over time we have raised money for charity by completing and hosting a variety of events including abseils, runs, bake sales and more. We commit to three charities a year to focus our fundraising on. In 2016, the charities we have chosen are:

Ipswich Hospital Charity

The Ipswich Hospital Charity is currently asking for help to deliver even better care for very sick babies and children at Ipswich Hospital in their 100,000 appeal.

Macmillan Cancer Support

http://www.macmillan.org.uk/

They are here to support people with cancer and help them take back some control in their life. From help with money worries and advice about work, to someone who'll listen if you just want to talk, we're here.

St Nicholas Hospice Bury St Edmunds

https://www.stnicholashospice.org.uk/

They provide practical, medical and spiritual support to local people and their families living with an illness that is life threatening; such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, heart or lung disease.

Give and Gain Day 2016

Suffolk Life will be participating in the UK's only national day of employee volunteering to see what we can do to help our chosen charities.

Environmental Suffolk Life SIPP corporate social responsibility CSR environment

It is important to us that we keep our carbon footprint to a minimum, from recycling to ensuring all computers are switched off at the end of the day.

In 2015, our staff managed to recycle 65% of waste created at Suffolk Life.

Our staff also have the chance to take part in volunteer environmental days every Autumn to help preserve our wildlife.

We keep www.facebook.com/suffolklife updated with our social, fundraising and environmental activities.
