EACH CORPORATE CHALLENGE
East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) have launched The Treehouse Appeal to raise £3 million to help build their new hospice.'
Companies in the area have been asked to take part in EACH's Corporate Challenge, with a target of £10,000 to raise within a year.

Suffolk Life have currently raised approximately £20,000 - we have surpassed our target by 100% but are continuing with the fund raising!

In
December, over 35 of our staff are braving the cold to put on Santa costumes and run 3km through Ipswich. The Santa Run is an annual event taking place around Ipswich waterfront, where all contestants must be dressed as Santa.

The Pensions Net Work dinner - Thursday, 25 November
The 25 November was the night of the Pensions Net Work meeting followed by a dinner. Our Product and Marketing Director, Chris Jones, turned up wearing a Santa suit with a collection tin, to raise money towards our Santa run on 12 December.
As a thank you gift, our Suffolk Life piggy banks were handed out from a sack that our 'Santa' was carrying!
We managed to raise approximately £400, a great success.
Suffolk Life Winter Ball - Friday, 19 November
To celebrate the upcoming holiday, Suffolk Life held one of their annual staff events - the Winter Ball. Part of the night was to raise money for the EACH Corporate Challenge.Through our auction, raffle and ticket purchase, we managed to raise over £4,000 - and the total is still rising as at least £2 of every Winter Ball photo sold is going towards EACH.
Some of the fantastic auction prizes included a Liverpool FC tour, a signed Arsenal pennant, a sailing lesson and tickets to an Andrew Lloyd Webber show.
Everyone had a fantastic time and the night was a great success.
Ipswich half-Marathon - Sunday, 29 August
Claire Brooks and Rachel Barrow ran the Ipswich Half Marathon on the 29th August, both completed the race even with injuries picked up in training.
Ipswich Hospital Abseil - Sunday, 11 July
Three Suffolk Lifers, Rebecca Churchyard, Tom Coe and Ryan Alexander, will be abseiled down the Maternity block of Ipswich Hospital on 11 July to raise money for our EACH Corporate Challenge.
The felt confident, despite hearing that the top of the block is very windy with good reason, raising £458.97 including matching from Legal and General.
Great East Swim - Saturday, 19 June
Simon Trott took part in the Great East Swim on 19 June to raise money for the EACH Corporate Challenge. The swim was one mile across Alton Walton in Suffolk which Simon completed in 29 minutes.
Now that he has tested the water ('scuse the pun!), he is planning to take part in the Great London Swim on 3 July, details of which will follow shortly.
Simon successfully raised £1,312.90.
Woodbridge 10K - Sunday, 16 May

Ten Suffolk Life staff took part in the Woodbridge 10K run on the 16 May 2010 for our Corporate Challenge. Ryan A, Andrew P, Rebecca C, Louise J, Brian W, Amanda C, Lucinda S, Caroline H, Leon J and Jonathan F raised £3,743.10 for EACH and had a fantastic day.
Brian (in picture, far right) said: "The atmosphere and the encouraging cheering crowds helped to get me over the finishing line and worryingly I want to do it all again next year!! It's been great being part of a team that's helped to raise funds for a very important local charity appeal."
Easter Bunny Raffle - Thursday, 29 April

Suffolk Life were kindly donated a giant Lindt chocolate bunny, so we held a raffle to find this bunny a new home. We raised £264 from this event to go towards our Corporate Challenge.
Craig Clark was our winner - don't eat it all at once!
