Why property?

As well as tax advantages, there are many reasons why one might invest in commercial property:

  • Purchasing business premises - joint purchase is also available   
  • Releasing cash by 'selling' part or all of the property to the SIPP 
  • Succession planning (handing the property to someone else) is made easier, so long as both parties have Suffolk Life Plans
  • The SIPP can borrow up to 50% of its net fund value
  • Transfer - an investor may even already own a property by another pension and wish to transfer to Suffolk Life to benefit from our expertise, flexibility and our 'personal touch'.


We will do everything possible to support each acquisition, and even though our SIPPs generally need to be introduced by an IFA, we can also deal directly with other professionals to handle property purchase.
