ROYAL MAIL

Royal Mail industrial actionFollowing a breakdown in discussions between Royal Mail and the Communication Workers Union (CWU), industrial action on a national scale has been planned. The first action announced is a 24 hour walk-out on Thursday 22 October. The nationwide action follows localised actions around the country which have already seen postal services disrupted.

What is Suffolk Life doing?

On days when industrial action is planned, there are neither deliveries nor collections to our office at 153 Princes Street, Ipswich. We are however manually taking our post to our local sorting office to give all correspondence the best possible chance of being delivered in a timely manner.

What can you do?

Some messages need to be delivered by post, however many do not. If post is delayed, please do be patient.

Please refer to our Contact us section for details on how you can reach us by e-mail, telephone or fax. For many investors, their adviser will be the first point of contact.

Where requested, we will continue to raise any payments by cheque within our normal timescales. To avoid any payments being delayed by the postal dispute, you could consider whether an electronic payment - BACS or CHAPS - would be more suitable.
